A Guide to Dry Brushing

What is Dry Brushing?

Dry brushing is exactly what it sounds like…brushing the skin while it is dry (usually before a bath or shower) in a particular pattern with a dry brush that is made from natural, firm bristles.

What is the purpose of dry brushing?

Dry brushing is an excellent supportive practice that helps to improve lymphatic circulation by brushing in a pattern that coincides with the natural pathways of lymphatic fluid. It also helps to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells from the skins surface. This is a helpful tool when beginning any protocol because it helps open up detoxification pathways by encouraging circulation of lymphatic fluid so it can excrete toxins from the body.
