Fat bombs

Fat bombs are a great snack for those who are looking to replace highly processed, super sugary snacks. They’re also great for those looking to increase (healthy) fat intake, lower sugar intake, and even those on a ketogenic diet. They are extremely rich, and mildly sweet, making them satisfying after one (or two ;), so you don’t over-indulge.

This recipe is easily customizable, you can add a few drops of pure vanilla or pure peppermint extract, change up the nut butter, or substitute coconut butter for either the nut butter or oil.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup nut butter of choice or coconut butter

  • 1/4 cup cocoa or cacao powder

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

  • Stevia or honey to taste, or 1 tbsp liquid sweetener of choice

  • (optional) 1/8 tsp salt

  1. Stir all ingredients together until smooth. If too dry (will vary with different nut butters), add additional coconut oil as needed. Pour into a small container, ice cube trays, or silicone mold/tray. Freeze until set (~1-2 hours). Best to store these in the freezer, as coconut oil softens quickly when warm.
