Labs

Below is a list of some of the labs we offer. Not all tests are listed, if you have a question regarding lab testing not listed below, please contact our office to see if we offer it or are able to obtain the testing you desire.

Please note, if you are not currently a patient of Prairie Sage, an exam is required before we are able to run labs. Depending on your desire to work with us following the lab work, the exam may be brief and over the phone if you are wanting lab results and nothing more. For those wishing to do further work with our doctors, a more complex and extensive exam will be done in the office prior to ordering labs.

Prairie Sage Panel (Blood Sample)

This comprehensive panel is used to evaluate the function of many systems, including certain organs (such as the liver, kidneys, thyroid, and heart), presence of infections, and metabolic function. The panel includes a Complete Blood Count with Differentials, Lipid Panel, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Thyroid Panel, and other components important to analyzing overall health.

Prairie Sage Thyroid Profile (Blood Sample)

This panel will help to evaluate thyroid gland function and action on the thyroid by other factors in the body. It includes a Thyroid Panel with TSH, T3U, TT4, FT4, T3 Total, T3 Reverse, and free T3.

Prairie Sage Extended Thyroid Profile  (Blood Sample)

This panel will help to further evaluate thyroid gland function and detect the presence of an autoimmune process. It includes all components of the Prairie Sage Thyroid Panel, as well as Thyroglobulin and Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies that are possibly being produced.

GI-MAP (Stool Sample)

**Stool samples are done with a kit sent home with the patient** The Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP) is an innovative clinical tool that measures gastrointestinal microbiota DNA from a single stool sample with state of the art, quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology. The GI-MAP was designed to detect microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function.

FIT Food Sensitivity (Finger Stick)

The FIT Test is a patented, multi-pathway delayed food sensitivity test. The test uses technology that measures both IgG and Immune Complexes, the most common food-related pathways in the body. The FIT Test measures sensitivities to up to 132 different foods and additives spanning all major food groups.

DUTCH Complete (Urine Sample)

This test is a comprehensive assessment of sex and adrenal hormones (such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, etc) and their metabolites.  It also includes cortisol patterns, organic acids, and melatonin levels. More extensive hormone testing is also available through DUTCH, please inquire if interested.

Hair Mineral Analysis (Hair Sample)

This is used for checking current exposure to toxic metals. Hair testing can provide important information that can assist practitioners with early diagnosis of physiological disorders associated with irregularities in essential and toxic element metabolism. It can also give information about inflammation, antioxidant capacity, heavy metal load, uranium/radon exposure, and more.

Organic Acids Test (OAT) (Urine Sample )

This test provides information about the body’s biochemical balance by measuring metabolic byproducts in urine. This test measures 74 metabolites that can indicate vitamin and hormone metabolism, energy cycle function, mitochondria function, candida/fungal overgrowth, intestinal wall integrity, muscle function, and more.

GPL-TOX Profile (Urine Sample)

This toxic, non-metal exposure profile screens for the presence of 172 different toxic environmental pollutants using 18 different metabolites. This test can also test for Tiglyglycine, a marker for mitochondrial disorders that may be caused by exposure to toxic chemicals, infections, inflammation, and nutritional deficiencies

MycoTOX Profile  (Mold Exposure) (Urine Sample)

The MycoTOX Profile is used to identify mycotoxin (mold) exposures and make recommendations for detoxification treatments. This test screens for 11 different mycotoxins, from 40 species of mold.

Glyphosate Test  (Urine Sample)

The Glyphosate Test measures the amount of Glyphosate in the body. Glyphosate is the world’s most widely produced herbicide and is the primary toxic chemical in many herbicides. In addition, it is a broad-spectrum herbicide that is used in more than 700 different products from agriculture and forestry to home use. Recent studies have discovered glyphosate exposure to be a cause of many chronic health problems.
